Frequently Asked Questions
If you have any questions or concerns about the services available at Rahn Dental Group, don’t hesitate to let our team know so that we discuss it with you. Below, we’ve compiled some of the most popular FAQs we receive on a regular basis and their respective answers. We want you to be able to visit our practice with full confidence!
Do you see children?
Yes! Our practice enjoys being able to accommodate whole families and save everyone valuable time that would otherwise be spent on traveling to separate practices. Our comprehensive approach truly has something for all ages, including kid-friendly services that will help growing smiles thrive.
Will it take two appointments to get a new dental crown?
Not with the help of our CEREC® technology! This modern approach simplifies every stage of the restorative process – from initial impressions to milling to the final placement – down to just one visit. As a result, we’re able to rebuild hurting teeth faster without compromising the quality our patients deserve.
Is laser dentistry safe?
At Rahn Dental Group, our dentists will always prioritize your comfort and wellbeing above all else, which is why we’ve chosen to invest in the Solea® Soft Tissue Dental Laser. This revolutionary tool is precise, speedy, virtually noiseless, and doesn’t require any anesthesia in most cases. Our practice is the only one in all of Dayton that utilizes this revolutionary technology, and our patients will surely notice what an amazing difference it makes when compared to traditional tools right away.
Is it true that a dentist can treat sleep apnea?
Yes, if they’ve received the proper training! Patients who have been diagnosed with mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) may be able to alleviate their condition with a custom-made oral appliance instead of the bulky, uncomfortable CPAP machine. Our team would love to explore this option with you during an initial consultation and help you achieve a full night of uninterrupted rest at last.
Why are dental implants the best way to replace missing teeth?
Unlike traditional bridges and dentures, implants actually rebuild every single component of your natural tooth, including the root that’s typically well-hidden underneath the gum tissue. This root provides not only essential support to the tooth, but also plenty of stimulation to the jawbone. Without it, this healthy bone will start to gradually deteriorate. All in all, dental implants create new teeth that are stable, healthy, functional, attractive, and built to last for life. Of course, this may not be the right option for everyone, so don’t hesitate to contact the practice if you’re interested in exploring all available options.
I want to straighten my smile, but I’m not interested in wearing metal braces. Is there another option?
Absolutely! Invisalign® treatment is an alternative orthodontic method that doesn’t use noticeable wires or brackets. Instead, patients will wear a series of clear aligners that are pleasingly subtle to the eye and conveniently removable as well. This option may be the right choice for self-conscious teenagers or adults who need to maintain a polished appearance for work.
Do you take my dental insurance?
Rahn Dental Group is in-network with several major dental insurance plans, and we even have a savings program for patients without coverage! To learn more, please visit our new patients page.
